Free Conversation with the Artists at 3pm

Dwayne Dopsie is easily one of the most exuberant accordionists in the world, prompting Rolling Stone to call him “the Jimi Hendrix of the accordion.” His award-winning, Grammy-nominated band Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers is a culmination of generations of the Zydeco tradition. Their music puts you squarely in the heart of New Orleans, where the genre’s roots grew from French Creole musical traditions, blending blues, rhythm and blues, funk, rock and roll, reggae, pop as well as the indigenous music of the Louisiana Creoles and the Native people of Louisiana.
